Wear a Winter Glow
As we headed into our ‘colder’ part of the year, you may have noticed that your skin started to feel and behave differently - this makes sense for a number of reasons including a different moisture content in the air. It is this sort of change that dictates that we adapt our skincare routine accordingly.
For ultimate skin protection and hydration in the winter months, follow these simple tips and reignite your glow for the rest of the cold season.
While skin is designed to keep renewing itself, it does need your help. Dead skin cells cause your skin to look uneven and dull. Exfoliating twice a week will add brightness and clarity, as well as create a smooth base for foundations and creams. Recommended Product – Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, which uses fruit acids to gently lift away those dead skin cells and restore that glow.
Book a Specialised Facial
It’s important to have a facial so that a professional can listen to your unique needs and advise you of what you need to do in order to get the best results. For the winter months I recommend our Dr Babor 30% Peel, as it’s the perfect time to regenerate, renew and repair your skin. While the strong summer rays are at bay it’s time to get your skin back into shape.
Eyes are one of the most important features of our face. In the winter eyes tend to get dryer and dehydrated, which causes those unwanted fine lines and wrinkles. Apply an eye cream morning and evening to brighten your eyes, you can even double up with an eye serum for better results.
Try our 30 Minute Biotec Firming Eye Treatment, it lifts, firms and plumps out fine lines and wrinkles.
Serums and Boosters
Now is the perfect time of year to add a serum into your skincare routine - morning and night - under your creams, to give you that added radiance and freshness. Stimulating your skin to raise its game. Recommended Product - Dr Babor Dermal Cellular Ultimate Vitamin C Booster concentrate.
Eat Back Your Glow
Now that we are having these lovely cooler evenings, its easy to get cosy on the couch and snack on naughty treats, but all that sugar is only going to dull your complexion. Instead stock up on foods that help increase your cell turnover such as avocados and fish and always remember to drink lots of water.
